ButtKicker Partners with Max Esterson - ButtKicker Haptics

ButtKicker Partners with Max Esterson

Max Esterson is excited to announce a new partnership with ButtKicker Haptics, the world’s leader in haptic feedback technology. The agreement with The Guitammer Company cements the relationship with 19-year-old Max, who started with only online sim racing experience, before successfully competing in the U.S. F1600 and BRSCC Avon Tyres British Formula Ford Championships. In 2022, Max graduated into the top level open-wheeled series in Britain, the GB3 Championship.

For over 20 years, Guitammer’s ButtKicker® brand has delivered the most innovative tactile experiences in simulation with its haptic transducers, providing accurate, powerful response to real-time telemetry. ButtKicker’s Gamer PRO hardware and iRacing approved HaptiConnect® software forms a crucial part of Esterson’s high-end racing simulation hardware, providing detailed haptic feedback to replicate circuit and car characteristics from iRacing’s software to help Max prepare for race weekends.

Max began sim racing at the young age of 11, and has used ButtKicker hardware and software to hone his driving skills reaching the Top 50 in global iRacing rankings amongst thousands – and Top 5 in the US – before finally making his real-world racing debut in 2020. Moving into the next chapter in his ‘sim racer to real-world’ story, Max is defying expectations with Top 5 finishes in one of the most competitive single seater racing series in the world, building on his success as Team USA Scholarship recipient, and Walter Hayes Trophy winner.

Max Esterson, driver of the #42 Douglas Motorsport machine, said:

“I’m grateful for ButtKicker’s support. We were originally introduced by Scott Pruett, and we have built a great relationship with Mark, Andrew and the team at Guitammer. I can’t overstate how awesome I think their products are. Honestly, the ButtKicker Gamer PRO is probably the one thing that’s made me say, “Wow, this is cool!” when adding hardware to my simulator. Having haptic feedback, which can be paired with almost any level of sim racing equipment, truly adds another dimension of reality to my race preparation and I’m looking forward to trying their 4-corner solutions to take it to the next level.”

Andrew Luden, Head of Gaming at The Guitammer Company added:

“We’re thrilled to partner with Max, his story shows how far sim racing has come and the vital importance of true-to-life driver feedback in sim racing. With our new Gamer PLUS, Gamer PRO, and HaptiConnect software the ButtKicker brand is driving haptic immersion into the future. We look forward to Max’s success in GB3 and look forward to seeing him reach the heights of open wheel motorsport."

Max returns to the cockpit on the 28-29 May weekend at Donington Park. All three races are due to streamed live via the GB3 YouTube channel, with a highlights package planned for Sky Sports F1. You can follow and support Max’s progress on social media via Facebook, Instagram and  Twitter.

A Red Bull supported athlete, Max is also supported by iRacing, Doug Mockett & Co., Max Papis Innovations, Christian Angle Real Estate, B. Dyson Capital Advisors, Amity Search Partners, Bell Racing, and the Team USA Scholarship.
